I am a 4th-year Ph.D. candidate in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Vermont and a research assistant in the Microbiome Metabolic Modeling (“M-cubed”) lab, expecting to graduate in December 2026. I am advised by David Bernstein. My doctoral research lives at the intersection of mathematics, biology, and computation, where I develop computational tools to understand metabolic processes in microbial ecosystems.
Microbial organisms are everywhere in nature, forming complex ecosystems that shape human health and the environment. My goal is to improve our quantitative understanding of these systems so that we can engineer their structure and function. I also work on predictive modeling of disease progression and complex-systems models.

Alongside research, I am an Instructor of Mathematics at UVM, teaching across the curriculum from algebra through calculus, and I care a lot about building inclusive, effective classrooms.
Before joining UVM, I earned an MPhil in Scientific Computing and Industrial Modeling at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), advised by Peter Amoako-Yirenkyi. I also worked with the Ghana Statistical Service and lectured at Cape Coast Technical University.
Fun fact: I once drove from Vermont to California — about 3,048 miles, coast to coast — just to take in the beauty of this country. I’ve also MC’d plenty of weddings and church programs, something I genuinely love doing.
